Yoga and Its Impact on the Physical Fitness of School-Going Students
Abstract: Yoga is a time-tested practice that has proven effective in enhancing physical health across all age groups. This research focuses on the impact of yoga on the physical fitness of school-going students. A controlled experimental study was conducted with 50 students, divided into an experimental group and a control group (25 students each). Over eight weeks, the experimental group participated in a structured yoga program, while the control group followed their regular routine. Data analysis revealed significant improvements in the physical fitness of the experimental group compared to the control group, as measured by flexibility, strength, and endurance tests. The findings support the integration of yoga into school curricula to enhance the physical health of students and promote a balanced lifestyle.
