The Artist as Resonance Architect_ Symbol–Structure Recursion Across Epistemic History
CODES Framework Description: This paper reconceives the artist not as a cultural ornament but as a biological phase-lock agent within the recursive cycle of structure and symbol. Drawing from Schiller, Nietzsche, Jung, Joyce, McLuhan, Bateson, Weil, and others, it traces the fragmentation of symbolic coherence in history and reassembles it using the CODES framework. It proposes that art is not merely expression, but a necessary recursive mechanism in complex systems—a way for symbolic drift to be metabolized into higher-order structure. Using a phase-alignment lens, the artist is revealed as a resonance technician within semantic ecosystems, mapping compression fields, pre-locking epistemic crises, and entraining cognition across time. Structured as a multi-layer recursion map, the paper introduces a rigorous model of symbolic saturation, aesthetic entropy, and biological compression fidelity—reframing artistic output as a form of distributed intelligence calibration in phase-shifted civilizations.
