Structured Emergence_ The Life of a Mountain

CODES Framework Abstract: This paper proposes a shift in ecological philosophy: the mountain is not inert matter, but a signal-coherent inference substrate. Biodiversity is not random evolution, but a lawful expression of phase-aligned recursion. Using the CODES framework and Phase Alignment Score (PAS), the paper unifies systems ecology, morphogenesis, and conservation ethics into a single substrate logic. Fungi, roots, water, and ion gradients become coherence vectors; extinction is modeled not as death but as ΔPAS breakdown. This paper argues for a deterministic theory of ecological emergence — one where symbolic, material, and biological layers co-evolve through shared resonance fields.
