பணணய நககல அபபவகக… கவத தகபப / Appavuku… Kavithai Thogupu in Feminist Perspective
There are many ideas about women have been found in Sangam literature up to modern literature. Feminist ideas became widespread during Bharathiyar's time. Although the poet Malar points out the impact of his father's separation in the collection of poems by the contemporary writer Dr. P. Malar's "Apavukku" (To His Father), there are collections of poems with feminist ideas in them. The purpose of this article is to examine the feminist ideas in this collection of poems. Even in the twenty-first century, there is an environment in society where women are somehow subjected to slavery and oppression and live their lives within a narrow circle in their homes. P. Malar who works as an assistant professor at Thenthiruthangur Hindu College in Nagercoil, has published her first collection of poems ‘Appavukku…’. Her collection of poems ‘Appavukku…’ highlights the lifestyle of women and the long way they have to go. She raises the alarm that those who are paralyzed inside the house are not women. Not only that, she records the idea that women should rule this world in her collection of poems.
