Solar Architecture, Harmonic Urban Planning, and Universal embedding spaces
Description for Zenodo Upload: This repository presents the complete documentation of the HelioStone project, which investigates the astronomical and liturgical alignments of the Church of Sainte-Hélène (La Garenne-Colombes, France). Combining fieldwork, historical research, solar and lunar ephemerides, and open-source simulation tools, the study reveals that the church’s architecture encodes precise solar and lunar events aligned with Christian feast days, including the Annunciation (March 25), the Feast of the Cross (May 3), and the Ascension. The work also identifies a broader geographic alignment—referred to as the SASH Axis (Sainte-Anne–Sainte-Hélène)—linking multiple French churches across centuries in a coherent geometric orientation. This repository includes the full paper, datasets, high-resolution photographs, and a reproducible Shiny app for modeling facade alignments. The project aims to contribute to cultural heritage preservation, archaeoastronomy, liturgical studies, and the digital humanities.
