THE IMPACT OF ECOLOGY ON TOURISM IN UZBEKISTAN
Since gaining independence in 1991, Uzbekistan has increasingly attracted global attention due to its rich history and cultural heritage. As a result, tourism has become a vital contributor to the nation’s economy. However, growing ecological problems such as air and water pollution, desertification, and the drying of the Aral Sea pose serious threats to sustainable tourism. This article analyzes the environmental challenges impacting tourism in Uzbekistan and proposes practical strategies for achieving ecological balance. The study highlights the importance of environmental awareness and cooperation between policymakers, environmentalists, and the tourism sector.
