Antimicrobial Activity of Alcoholic Extract and Fractions of Moringa oleifera
Moringa oleifera, commonly known as the drumstick tree, is a highly valued plant intraditional medicine due to its rich nutritional profile and various bioactive compounds. It has been extensively studied for its pharmacological properties, including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial activities. The antimicrobial properties of Moringa oleifera have garnered considerable attention in recent years due to its potential as a naturalantimicrobial agent against a wide range of pathogens. The antimicrobial activity of Moringa oleifera has been evaluated using extracts fromdifferent parts of the plant, including leaves, seeds, pods, and roots. Among these, themethanol extract and its fractions (e.g., hexane, chloroform, ethyl acetate, and aqueousfractions) are of particular interest due to their significant effectiveness against a broadspectrum of microorganisms.
