Paper 4: Black Hole Entropy, Evaporation, and Information Conservation in the Holosphere Lattice

This paper presents a coherence-based reinterpretation of black holes within Holosphere Theory, a framework in which spacetime is modeled as a discrete lattice of angularly coherent units rather than a smooth continuum. In this model, black holes do not form from curvature singularities but from a coherence saturation transition: outward transport of angular defects becomes progressively suppressed until the effective defect flux across a closed shell approaches zero. The resulting boundary is a physically real transport horizon, modeled as a VROS-Bounded Coherence Shell (VBCS), which stores angular strain and information structurally on its surface. Black hole entropy arises naturally as a surface-counting law: unresolved angular misalignment on the saturated shell scales with surface area, reproducing the Bekenstein–Hawking area law without invoking hidden microstates. Evaporation is not treated as continuous thermal Hawking radiation but as a sequence of rare, discrete surface relaxation events. Each relaxation event corresponds to a coherent reconfiguration of a finite shell patch and emits a phase-aligned defect carrying causal angular memory, ensuring information preservation by construction. The paper distinguishes between two roles of the black hole boundary: a static strain-gradient envelope that sources gravity through constrained transport, and a separate intermittent relaxation channel responsible for transient emissions. Gravity persists even in the absence of emission, while large, non-thermal energies released during relaxation events arise solely from coherent shell reconfiguration. The framework yields falsifiable predictions, including gravitational-wave echo timing, non-thermal stepwise emission statistics, polarization and memory signatures near black hole silhouettes, and suppression of steady thermal evaporation from primordial black holes.
