Optimization of bio surfactant production using Rice bran oil by Starmerella bombicola AS001
Abstract - Industries like food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and environmental sectors, widely utilizes the surfactant, sophorolipids (SL). In this work, Starmerella bombicola AS001 is used to produce sophorolipids. Box-Behnken design(BBD) is used to study and optimize the impact of media components and composition. The media's composition, which includes Rice bran oil (RBO), urea, glucose, and potato extract is tuned to produce SL. When using rice branoil, the highest yield SL under ideal circumstances was 48.20 g/l. The values of the statistical parameters indicate thatBBD can be used for SL manufacture in an efficient manner. The findings imply that Starmerella bombicola AS001can be used to produce SL from rice bran.
