Aprostatum clippertoni

Aprostatum clippertoni (Hyman, 1939) Euplana clippertoni Hyman, 1939a: 4–6, figs 9–12 (type locality: Clipperton Island, France). Aprostatum clippertoni – Faubel 1983: 35 (new combination). Distribution Clipperton Island. Habitat Benthic (under rocks to the south of the landing place of the island). Remarks Faubel (1983) transfers Euplana clippertoni to the genus Aprostatum, because the species has a male reproductive system with a penis papilla armed with a pointed tubular stylet and female reproductive system with Lang’s vesicle; characters absent in the genus Euplana.
