DOES YOUR BODY TELL YOU HOW YOU SLEEP? CORRELATION BETWEEN SLEEP QUALITY TO BMI AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY USING PEARSON CORRELATION
ABSTRACT A vital component of overall well-being and health is the quality of a person's sleep, yet it is affected by various physiological, psychological, and lifestyle-related factors. This study uses a 2024 dataset published by Sacramento Technology on Kaggle.com to examine correlations between BMI, physical activity, and age with sleep quality in Middle Eastern adults aged 18 to 43. Using Pearson's Correlation Coefficient, the findings revealed that the 23 to 27 age group showed significantly lower sleep quality; this result does not correlate with other factors used in the study, which indicates further study is needed to identify what other outside factors contribute to these results.
