To Study The Advancement In Water Purification Technology For Home Use
Abstract: Access to safe and palatable drinking water is a fundamental need, and while municipal water treatment provides a baseline level of purification, concerns regarding water quality, aging infrastructure, and emerging contaminants have furled increased interest in home water purification systems. This research paper explores the advancements in water purification technology specifically designed for residential use. It examines the evolution from traditional methods like boiling and basic filtration to modern, multi-stage systems. The paper analyses the effectiveness of various technologies, including pitcher filters, faucet filters, whole-house systems, under-sink filters, reverse osmosis (RO) systems, and ultraviolet (UV) disinfection, in removing a range of contaminants, from sediment and chlorine to heavy metals, pesticides, and microorganisms. A key focus is on the factors influencing consumer choices, such as cost, maintenance requirements, ease of use, flow rate, and specific water quality concerns. The research also evaluates the performance and limitations of each technology, considering their suitability for diverse household needs and water sources. Furthermore, the abstract highlights emerging trends in home water purification, including smart filtration systems, advanced filter materials, and sustainable solutions. Ultimately, this research emphasizes the importance of informed decision-making for homeowners in selecting appropriate water purification technologies to ensure access to safe, clean, and healthy drinking water
