UTILIZATION OF ADVANCED MATERIALS AND ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGIES IN UZBEKISTAN'S MINING AND METALLURGICAL INDUSTRY

Uzbekistan’s mining and metallurgical industry plays a vital role in the national economy, contributing significantly to GDP, exports, and industrial development. This study explores the utilization of advanced materials and additive manufacturing (AM) technologies as transformative solutions to these challenges. High-performance materials, such as tungsten carbide and high-entropy alloys, offer superior wear resistance and durability, reducing maintenance requirements. Simultaneously, AM enables rapid, localized production of spare parts, minimizing supply chain disruptions and enhancing operational efficiency. Uzbekistan’s ongoing investments in technological modernization, supported by national development programs, provide a favorable environment for integrating these innovations. By leveraging advanced materials and AM, the industry can achieve cost reductions, improve equipment reliability, and enhance sustainability. This research analyzes the feasibility, benefits, and industrial implications of these technologies, offering strategic insights into their implementation within Uzbekistan’s mining and metallurgical sector.
