An Analysis Comparing Male And Female Players' Levels Of Anxiety And Aggression
Abstract: It takes anxiety to perform at your best. Coaches should keep an eye on athletes who exhibit excessive anxiety since it may impair their performance. Competitive performance is impossible without a certain degree of anxiety. Aggression and competition are twins; aggressive games are louder and may improve performance by motivating players to work harder and sacrifice all for the team's victory. Investigating and comparing the levels of hostility and anxiety among male and female players was the aim of the current study. There were 100 participants in all, 50 of whom were men and 50 of whom were women, chosen at random from among the institutions connected to Pune universities. The AGG questionnaire was used to quantify aggression. In order to quantify the subjects' anxiety the Sports Competition Anxiety Test (SCAT) was used. The findings showed that, in comparison to the female players, the male players were significantly more aggressive (p<0.05). The study indicated that the anxiety levels of female gamers were substantially higher than those of male players (p<0.01). In summary, female players exhibited greater anxiety, whereas male players exhibited greater aggression.
