Real-Time Fingerspelling Recognition for Mexican Sign Language Learning
Mexican Sign Language (MSL) serves approximately 420,000 deaf individuals in Mexico, yet educational access remains limited due to a critical shortage of certified instructors (1:262 teacher-to-student ratio). This study presents ManoLingua, a web-based application for automated MSL fingerspelling recognition designed to provide real-time educational feedback.
