Етичні координати у створенні образу митця (Д.Лодж- Г.Веллс)
The investigation focuses on H. Wells's biography “A Man of Parts” written by a famous English writer-postmodernist David Lodge, who really presented the life of the famous author in certain parts but mostly of its one side – intimate, private- the one, which is not known to the full by the fans of Wells’s creativity. From this seemingly unethical projection of the analysis, the biographer creates a new image of the writer, a new, unexpected portrait of a man and an artist. Such a projection gives a peculiar integrality of Wells’s image caused not only by some objective factors – theme, turns of the plot, artistic devices- but mainly by the correspondence to the individual perception of the recipient and to the challenges of a certain historical time.
