EMOTIONAL REGULATION STRATEGIES AND THEIR LONG-TERM IMPACT ON PSYCHOLOGICAL WELL-BEING AND STRESS ADAPTATION IN HIGH-PRESSURE ENVIRONMENTS
Emotional regulation strategies are crucial for managing psychological well-being and adapting to stress in high-pressure environments such as workplaces, military settings, and competitive sports. This paper examines the long-term impact of emotion regulation strategies, particularly cognitive reappraisal and suppression, on stress adaptation and mental health outcomes. Drawing from empirical studies, it highlights how adaptive strategies improve psychological resilience while maladaptive strategies exacerbate stress-related disorders. Findings emphasize the role of training in emotional regulation to foster long-term well-being in high-pressure scenarios.
