A State-Of-The-Art Overview of Quinoxaline, Its Derivatives, and Applications
A significant type of heterocycle molecules are quinoxaline derivatives, in which N substitutes for some of the carbon atoms in the naphthalene ring. It is made up of the fusion of two aromatic rings, pyrazine and benzene, and has the chemical formula C8H6N2. Although it is uncommon in nature, it is simple to synthesize them. The State of the Art will be discussed in this review, along with an overview of the advancements in understanding the structure and mechanism of quinoxaline and its derivatives, as well as their related industrial, medicinal, and biological importance. Numerous biomedical uses, including the treatment of chronic and metabolic illnesses and antibacterial properties, can be obtained by altering the structure of quinoxaline.
