Analyzing The Effect Of Quality Management Practices On The Performance Of The Hospitals

ABSTRACT This paper focuses on the quality management practice impacts on hospitals in the health care sector with respect to operational and financial performances. All critical elements of QM have been addressed, including leadership, decision-making, continuous improvement, customer focus, employee involvement, process management, and supplier relations. Together, these ingredients create efficient health care delivery, high operation performance, and an improvement in patient satisfaction-which are crucial elements of any competitive health care sector. The outcome of this study demonstrates that QM practices contribute to both outcome and influential impacts on achieving financial stability and sustainability in the long term. For conducting the survey, a structured questionnaire for the medical and administrative staff of hospitals was prepared. In the analysis, the statistical tool AMOS 5.0 was applied to validate and ensure the reliability of the constructs under study. The results indicate robust associations between QM practices and hospital performance indicators. Specifically, customer focus was the most critical influence on both operational and financial performance. In addition, supplier relations and continuous improvement improved significantly the operational outcome while process management positively impacted the financial outcome. Such knowledge has the potential to give way to actionable recommendations for health institutions that seek to optimize their management practices. The study concludes that for meeting the increasing expectations of the patients and regulatory bodies in a way that is efficient and profitable, hospitals have to employ robust QM practices. This comes out with the challenges of implementation that require continuous training, effective communication, and strategic leadership. This research presents a comprehensive guide for health care administrators looking forward to developing sustainable and high-performance healthcare systems through quality management practices. Keywords: Quality Management, Hospital Performance, Operational Efficiency, Financial Stability, Customer Focus, Continuous Improvement, Process Management, Healthcare Systems.
