This article analyzes the main advantages and existing limitations of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in the field of information technology (IT) and the education system. Specifically, achievements in programming, cybersecurity, and automation processes are highlighted, as well as negative impacts such as job reduction, ethical issues, and the risk of erroneous decision-making. The article also examines opportunities provided by AI in education, such as personalized approaches, distance learning, and automated grading. In conclusion, the necessity of using AI technologies wisely and aligning them with human values is substantiated.
