Intercepting Gravitationally-Lensed Ancient Earth Light: A Proposal for Deep-Time Imaging

This document proposes a theoretical method for observing Earth’s past by intercepting photons that left the planet tens of thousands to hundreds of millions of years ago and were gravitationally lensed by distant cosmic structures. If aligned properly, this light could pass back through space within a 1-light-year radius of Earth and be detected by a strategically placed telescope, allowing direct observation of ancient Earth epochs.

Abstract

This document proposes a theoretical method for observing Earth’s past by intercepting photons that left the planet tens of thousands to hundreds of millions of years ago and were gravitationally lensed by distant cosmic structures. If aligned properly, this light could pass back through space within a 1-light-year radius of Earth and be detected by a strategically placed telescope, allowing direct observation of ancient Earth epochs.
