Designing sensor technology for estimating CO2 reductions through the adoption and use of improved cookstoves
CO₂ certificate trading under the Paris Agreement relies on accurate emissions measurement. This thesis presents a low-cost, open-source data logger using a Raspberry Pi Pico, thermocouple, and scale to track cookstove runtime and wood consumption. Designed for off-grid deployment, it operates on solar power and transmits data via cellular networks to a cloud server. By ensuring precise emissions calculations, this system enhances climate change mitigation efforts and provides a scalable solution for data logging.
