Modified Plithogenic Sets in Criterion Reduction in Optimal Decisioning on Robotized Technology
Plithogenic sets are primarily characterized as a quintuple of the form (P, a, V, d, c) comprising attributes, attribute values, degrees of appurtenance and contradiction. The decision-making process is quite intricate with conflicting criteria or the attributes. Henceforth, it is essential to minimize the number of criteria to reduce the complexity of decisioning. The research is intended to develop a new approach to handle intricate multi-criteria decision-making problems more effectually, particularly when dealing with conflicting and high dimensional criteria. The objective of this research work is to introduce modified Plithogenic sets to perform criterion reduction based on degrees of contradiction. The proposed method scientifically examines the contradiction among attribute values to find the relative importance of each criterion. The computation of criterion weights facilitates in identifying the core criteria essential for optimal ranking. The proposed approach of criterion reduction using modified Plithogenic sets is illustrated in the decisioning of robotized technology. The performance of the proposed model is compared with neutrosophic based Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to validate its robustness and consistency. The efficacy of the developed method of criterion reduction is validated with other most commonly methods of determining criterion weights. The newly introduced approach is more efficient in handling any number of criteria belonging to both benefit and cost category. Also, the contradiction degrees based on the cognition of human experts may result in few variations is identified as the limitation of the proposed approach.
