OpenAIRE Graph - Aggregation, content acquisition
This presentation offers a comprehensive overview of the OpenAIRE Graph — an open, global scholarly knowledge graph that aggregates and interlinks metadata from thousands of scholarly communication sources. It explains how metadata is harvested from repositories, CRIS systems, OA journals, and funders, and how it is processed through validation, harmonisation, deduplication, and enrichment workflows. The session highlights the use of text and data mining (TDM) techniques for metadata enrichment, the role of persistent identifiers, and how the Graph supports interoperability, Open Science monitoring, and alignment with the OpenAIRE Guidelines. It also introduces the OpenAIRE PROVIDE dashboard and tools that support integration, validation, and metadata erichment through the OpenAIRE Broker. The presentation is part of the CRAFT-OA Summer School and aims to help institutional providers, publishers, and infrastructure developers understand how to connect to and benefit from the OpenAIRE ecosystem.
