USE OF BLINATOMUMAB TARGETED THERAPY IN THE TREATMENT OF ACUTE LYMPHOBLASTIC LEUKEMIA IN CHILDREN

According to worldwide studies, acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is one of the most common malignant neoplasms (ZNO) among children's patients. Despite the fact that significant breakthroughs have been achieved recently in the issue of long-term survival (for example, according to the research of the N.N. Blokhin National Research Institute of Oncology in 2021, the 5-year survival rate of patients reaches about 90% ([1]), the risk of disease recurrence and minimal persistence is extremely high among patients residual disease. This creates high risks for further hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. Long-term chemotherapy, due to its high toxicity, significantly reduces the quality of treatment results, as a result of which the use of various types of targeted drugs plays an important role in ALL therapy. One of the most actively used and positively proven drugs in this group is blinatumomab. This study shows the results of the use of blinatumomab in pediatric patients at the "National Scientific Center of Motherhood and Childhood" in Astana.

Long-term chemotherapy, due to its high toxicity, significantly reduces the quality of treatment results, as a result of which the use of various types of targeted drugs plays an important role in ALL therapy. One of the most actively used and positively proven drugs in this group is blinatumomab.
