Tibetan Plateau spatially-explicit vegetation cover (16-0ka BP)

Using the random forest algorithm, the quantitative reconstruction of vegetation coverage on the Tibetan Plateau since the deglacial period (16 ka BP) has been achieved. This includes total vegetation, woody, and herbaceous cover. The temporal resolution is 400 years, while the spatial resolution is 0.5 degrees. For each vegetation type, estimates of cover and their standard errors (SE) were provided, calculated from the results of 500 random forest iterations. All data are stored in NetCDF (.nc) format under the filename `TibetenPlateau_VegetationCover.nc`. The dataset contains variables such as `VegetationCover_mean`, `VegetationCover_se`, `WoodyCover_mean`, `WoodyCover_se`, `HerbaceousCover_mean`, and `HerbaceousCover_se`. Each variable comprises 41 layers, labeled chronologically from 16 ka BP, 15.6 ka BP, 15.2 ka BP, to 0 ka BP. The data can be visualized or manipulated using programming languages such as Python, R, or NCL, as well as software tools like Panoply, ArcGIS, and others.

The dataset contains variables such as `VegetationCover_mean`, `VegetationCover_se`, `WoodyCover_mean`, `WoodyCover_se`, `HerbaceousCover_mean`, and `HerbaceousCover_se`. Each variable comprises 41 layers, labeled chronologically from 16 ka BP, 15.6 ka BP, 15.2 ka BP, to 0 ka BP.
