MATHEMATICAL MODELING OF LUNAR MOVEMENTS AND STEM APPROACHES IN THE AZERBAIJAN EDUCATION SYSTEM
Abstract Lunar movements have captivated astronomers since ancient times, significantly influencing the mathematical explanation of various natural phenomena. The accurate modeling of lunar phases and its orbital movements provides invaluable insights not only for scientific understanding but also for educational purposes. This paper examines the intricate relationship between lunar movements and mathematical modeling, emphasizing their educational applications within the STEM framework in Azerbaijan's education system. We investigate current pedagogical practices, highlight innovative teaching methodologies that incorporate lunar movements, and propose strategies for integrating these concepts into the curriculum. Furthermore, the study discusses the potential benefits of such integrations, including enhanced student engagement, improved critical thinking skills, and a deeper appreciation for the interconnectedness of scientific disciplines. Ultimately, this research aims to contribute to the development of a more dynamic and effective STEM education landscape in Azerbaijan by leveraging the rich historical and scientific significance of lunar movements.
