Enhancing Energy Efficiency in Micro-Apartments using Phase Change Materials: A Case Study in Alexandria, Egypt
The uploads to the Zenodo data repository facilitate the publication of a thesis case study, which is intended for submission to a journal. This collection includes essential materials such as simulation screenshots that illustrate the proposed scenarios concerning the RT24HC phase change material (PCM) integrated into the walls and roof of a residential micro-apartment in Alexandria, Egypt with the addition of selective passive design startegies. Additionally, I have uploaded the DesignBuilder file for reference, allowing for a comprehensive understanding of the modeling process. An Excel sheet containing tables of the Predicted Percentage of Dissatisfied (PPD) and Predicted Mean Vote (PMV) numerical statistics is also included; these statistics were instrumental in identifying the most energy-efficient scenario for the design. This structured approach ensures that all relevant data is accessible and supports the reproducibility of my findings.
