Spatio-Temporal Change in the Decadal Growth Rates of Population in Jalgaon District (Ms)

Abstract Abstract: The present paper investigate the Spatio-temporal change in the decadal growth rates of population in Jalgaon district of Maharashtra. The data for the present study is obtained from the District Census Handbook of Jalgaon district for the years1991, 2001 and 2011. From the present study, it is cleared that the decadal change in growth suggests percentage decline of more than four percent while the northern tehsils of the district have shown decline while the southern tehsils have shown increase. The decadal growth rate of male population shows increase of 16 percent. After a decade, this growth rate shows slight decline.
