Healing Waves: The Therapeutic Power of Water in Trauma Recovery and Emotional Well-Being
Abstract: Water plays a worthy role in emotional recovery and coping with trauma, providing psychological and physical advantages. As per my knowledge, being nearer to water—oceans, lakes, or rivers, helps them to relieve stress, worry, and symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Treatments like Hydrotherapy, aquatic therapy, and floating therapy creates soothing conditions that enhance emotional control and mental strength. The "blue mind" hypothesis suggests that water can create a meditative state, leading to relaxation and happiness. Moreover, treatments such as surf therapy have proved highly effective in assisting people with emotional processing and trauma recovery. This paper delves into the scientific underpinning and practical applications of water as a natural therapeutic tool for emotional health and trauma healing
