Retipenna phanera Wu & Liu 2024, comb. nov.

[53] Retipenna phanera (Yang, 1987) comb. nov. (Figs 63, 87) Chrysopa phanera Yang, 1987: 206. Type locality: China (Xizang, Zayü). Holotype in CAU. Semachrysa phanera: Yang, 1997: 96. comb. nov. Diagnosis. This species is characterized by the presence of the head and thorax without spots, and the dark brown CuP and inner gradate series of the forewings. Description. Female. Body length 11.0– 11.6 mm, forewing length 17.3–18.0 mm, hindwing length 16.0– 16.7 mm. Head without spots, vertex raised. Compound eyes prominent and black. Antennae yellow, scape and pedicel wider than flagellum. Frons, clypeus and gena not marked. Maxillary and labial palpi brownish yellow. Pronotum quadrate, anterior margin shorter than posterior margin, meso- and metanotum without markings. Legs with dense setae, without spots. Pretarsal claws brown, with basal dilation. Forewing relatively broad, most of crossveins brown, especially inner gradate series and CuP. Pterostigma pale brown. Costal area with 22–26 crossveins; 14–15 radial crossveins present. m1 smaller than m2; im ovoid; 8–10 psm-psc crossveins present. c1 smaller than c2, dcc opened. A1 forked, A2 and A3 simple. Inner gradate series with 7–9 brown crossveins, outer gradate series with 8–10 crossveins. Hindwing without shadings. Costal area with 17–22 crossveins; 12–14 radial crossveins and 7–8 psm-psc crossveins present. Inner gradate series with 6–7 crossveins, outer gradate series with 8–10 crossveins. Abdomen with dense setae. Sternum VII longer than tergum VII; tergum VII subquadrate in lateral view; tergum VIII shorter than tergum VII; tergum IX fused with ectoproct. Callus cerci ovoid. Subgenitale bilobed apically; spermatheca thick, vela short, ventral impression deep, duct long and coiled. Material. Holotype ♂, China, Xizang, Zayü, Hongwei, 2100 m, 1978.VI.30 (CAU). 1♀, China, Yunnan, Gongshan, Dulong, Qinlandang, 1230 m, 2018.V.07 (CAU); 1♀, China, Xizang, Mêdog, Baibung, light, 796 m, 2017.X.10, Qicheng Yang (CAU); 1♀, China, Xizang, Nyingchi, Renqingbeng Scenic Area, light, 2019.V.31, Rongrong Shen & Yingnan He (CAU); 1♀, China, Xizang, Mêdog, 2237 m, 2019.VI.06, Rongrong Shen & Yingnan He (CAU); 1♀, China, Xizang, Nyingchi, Bomê, Yi’ong, Shuangyu, 2100 m, 2022.VI.29, Yuezheng Tu (CAU); 2♀, China, Xizang, Shigatse, Zhêntang, Zangga, 2200 m, 2022.VII.09–12, Yuezheng Tu (CAU). Distribution. China (Xizang, Yunnan). Remarks. This species was previously placed into Semachrysa in Yang (1997). However, its morphological characters: the head, thorax and wings without markings, the brown forewing CuP, the extremely short female vela, are obviously consistent with those of Retipenna. Thus, we transfer this species from Semachrysa to Retipenna.
