Generative Artificial Intelligence Guidelines for Higher Education and for Science

Presentation about "Generative Artificial Intelligence Guidelines for Higher Education and for Science" done by Dr. Diana Andone at the Workshop on Digital Competences in Artificial Intelligence and Citizen Science, the 9th edition organised by the Politehnica University Timișoara, through the Digital and Distance Education Department and the Multimedia Center, together with the Alliance of European Universities E³UDRES² and Ent-r-e-novators, with the support of Accelerate Future HEI, on 22 November 2024, in Timisoara, Romania. The event addresses stakeholders in education, and research, but also citizens from the community, bringing together national and international experts to discuss the impact of artificial intelligence in education, research, but also within the community. Generative AI holds immense potential and dangers to transform education, revolutionising the way we educate, learn and engage with knowledge. The workshop will address the questions:What skills will be expected from educators and students in the future? How open education and open science practices are changed by GAI?What are the regulations and guidelines for using GAI in higher education?
