Synthesis And Antimicrobial Study Of Thiazoles From Novel Chalcone
ABSTRACT The study of heterocyclic systems is of great interest both from the theoretical and practical point of view. Heterocycles also play an important role in the design and discovery of new pharmacologically active compounds. In the presence study, various thiazoles synthesized by reaction of 1-chloro-4-methylbenzene with 1-(4-aminophenyl)ethenone followed by treatment with aromatic aldehyde to produced chalcones B1-B17. Prepared chalcones were further react with 2-aminothiazole to produced product 19-35. All synthesized compounds were characterized using 1H NMR, 13C NMR, IR, and MASS spectrometry. Antimicrobial study of all synthesized compounds were tested against gram +ve and gram -ve bacteria.
