A Peace-Focused Political Approach to the Cyprus Problem; Solution Search from the Perspective of Political Science
The Cyprus issue is more than just a local one; it is also a crossroads of international law, global power dynamics, and regional politics. The island's historical and political differences are important to the long-term viability of the solution process. This study investigates how peace-oriented political methods may be developed by approaching the Cyprus issue from a political science standpoint. The research assesses the condition of Cypriot communities, sovereignty issues, intercommunal trust development, and the influence of global players. It is highlighted that for the peace process to be successful, the Cypriots must lead the negotiations. Keywords.
