Further findings on the intergenerational transmission of alcohol consumption
This record contains the author accepted manuscript (postprint) of the article published in Health Economics. The study examines the intergenerational transmission of alcohol consumption using a large parent-child panel from the HILDA Survey. The results show persistent intergenerational transmission across the life course, with stronger same-sex parent-child patterns and marked gender asymmetries. Mother-to-daughter transmission is slightly stronger than father-to-son transmission, while comparable father-to-daughter transmission is not observed.
