E-PACK: Modular Mechanical Energy Storage System

E-PACK is a modular mechanical energy storage system designed for clean energy transition and off-grid energy resilience. Unlike Li-ion batteries, E-PACK uses 100% recyclable, non-toxic materials and has a service life of over 20 years without maintenance. The system is scalable from 100 kW to 5 MW, operates in extreme temperatures (-40°C to +50°C), and requires minimal operating costs. This work describes the technical structure and implementation roadmap for integrating E-PACK into decentralized energy solutions, especially in regions with unstable electricity supply.

Abstract

E-PACK is a modular mechanical energy storage system designed for clean energy transition and off-grid energy resilience. Unlike Li-ion batteries, E-PACK uses 100% recyclable, non-toxic materials and has a service life of over 20 years without maintenance. The system is scalable from 100 kW to 5 MW, operates in extreme temperatures (-40°C to +50°C), and requires minimal operating costs. This work describes the technical structure and implementation roadmap for integrating E-PACK into decentralized energy solutions, especially in regions with unstable electricity supply.
