Braided Flows and Cross-Scale Synchronization
In this RSM theory proposal - Braided Flows and Cross-Scale Synchronization - our consciousness emerges naturally from our particular vantage point in this continuum of braided coherence states, therefor it has to be a scalable and relative feature of consciousness.. Observers are part of the many-body flow, not separated from it, so their vantage point also chooses which cross-section of complexity is perceived. The high-order compression that produces stable wave interactions manifests in neural hierarchies as well, suggesting that integrated brain networks echo these fractal couplings. The observer’s consciousness does not come from a single node of complexity; rather, it arises from the synchronized layering of wave-like flows, each anchored by discrete intervals of emergent coherence. By allowing for wavefunction collapse or measurement only at certain fractally spaced times, the stroboscopic approach can produce illusions such as c-variability or extra gravitational mass. Yet, at a deeper level, genuine “dark matter temporal density” may just be an artifact of how observers sample cosmic intervals in fractal steps. From cosmic arcs spanning tens of thousands of years, to neural oscillations on a millisecond scale, RSM’s approach merges them in a single scheme that unifies expansions of scale, emergent intelligence, and braided wave coherence. The process of scaling from the macro to the micro does not merely reduce distances; it redistributes available energy into progressively finer intervals, generating higher coherence with less net effort. Such transitions recall gravitational or time-dilation analogies, where densities accumulate and lead to sudden braided leaps of organization. Despite these differences in size and context, the same topological rules of braid formation govern how strands of “energy flow” twist, overlap, and stabilize into emergent patterns. Whether the “strand” is a planet completing its orbit, the arc or a group of neurons firing in approximate synchrony, each is part of a braid many-body flow with potential to produce stable or near-chaotic braids of resonance and detectable vantage points.
