¿Un plan corresponsables para la tercera edad? La desinstitucionalización de la tercera edad como riesgo para la reproducción de la desigualdad

This paper, that is a preliminary approach to this complex object of study, will begin with an analysis of the current scenario of elderly care, focusing not only on caregivers in institutions but, in particular, on those providing care at home, whether they are family members or workers. After establishing the terms of the debate about public policy intervention perspectives (institutionalization versus home care) and addressing some of the main criticisms of dependency policies as the main intervention tool in this area, potential public intervention policies consistent with the current prevailing paradigm will be presented. More specifically, the possible suitability of adopting a "Plan Corresponsables" for the elderly will be emphasized..
