The objective of this work was to analyze advancements in EV battery technology (2019-2024), aligning with MARBEL's innovations in modularity, weight reduction, and sustainability. From 2019 (Audi e-tron) to 2024 models (e.g., BYD Tang EV), significant improvements in weight-to-capacity ratios, range, and integration methods are evident. Emerging 2024 technologies prioritize integration, modularity (e.g., Cell-to-Pack design). From the Marbel project main innovation the future trend of battery cells which may be adopted by the Marbel concept were spotted.
