Exploring The Role Of Artificial Intelligence In Mathematics Pedagogy

ABSTRACT Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been a revolutionary power in mathematics education, providing novel solutions to enrich teaching practices, optimize student interaction, and customize learning processes. This paper examines the changing role of AI in mathematics education, discussing its influence on conceptualization, problem-solving ability, and adaptive learning processes. Artificial intelligence-based tools like intelligent tutoring systems, machine learning-based test models, and virtual assistants have transformed conventional instructional methods by offering instant feedback, simplifying complex calculations, and creating active learning environments. AI also boosts student motivation by gamification and customized delivery of content to suit varied learning needs. Nonetheless, problems such as ethical issues, data privacy, and the digital divide are strong deterrents for the mass implementation of AI technology in classrooms. This research also covers new trends such as the blending of AI with metaverse learning, blockchain credentialing, and AI-based automated curriculum development. The results indicate that while AI can potentially transform mathematics education, an optimal combination of AI-generated insights with conventional pedagogy is required for its successful adoption.
