Authentication and Security in Rental Products with Rental History Management Using Blockchain
Abstract - A power tool rental system that is based on blockchain supports secure transactions, transparency, and fraud protection for the rental sector. Centralized databases are the basis of the traditional rental system, which exposes them to tampering, loss of data, and unauthorized editing. The new system uses blockchain cryptography to ensure rental history validation, fraudulent transactions prevention, and security. ToolHive is a web application that supports rentals of tools to gardeners and landscapers with the system embedded. The blockchain infrastructure guarantees that the rental transactions are traceable, immutable, and verifiable. With the intermediaries eliminated and the use of smart contracts, the system enforces rental agreements and guarantees conformity with preagreed conditions like return dates and deposits. The process greatly maximizes trust between users while minimizing operational risks. In addition, the decentralized nature of the system reduces single points of failure, resulting in a highly secure and effective solution for the rental sector.
