Cooperative Enterprise from Social Identity, Agency, and Stakeholder Theories Perspective: A Literature Review
Abstract: This study integrates Social Identity Theory (SIT), Agency Theory and Stakeholder Theory to offer a comprehensive framework for understanding the dynamics within cooperative enterprises. By examining how SIT fosters strong group identity and member solidarity, Agency Theory's focus on mitigating principal-agent conflicts and Stakeholder Theory's emphasis on balancing diverse interests, the research provides deeper acumen into cooperative enterprise governance and management. These integrated perspectives accentuate the unique challenges and opportunities cooperative enterprises face particularly in fostering member engagement, managing stakeholder relationships and ensuring effective governance. This holistic approach underscores the importance of combining theoretical frameworks to address the complex needs of cooperative enterprises. Practical implications for cooperative leaders and policymakers are discussed and suggested areas for future research to further explore these dynamics. Keywords: Cooperative Enterprises, SIT, Agency Theory, Stakeholder Theory
