INTERNAL CONTROL OF RISK MANAGEMENT IN NEW PRODUCT ACTIVITIES
Establish a “culture” of risk management in the firm. A risk management culture emphasizes the importance of risk management in the firm at all levels, as part of the daily activities of each member of the firm. The goal of creating a risk management culture is to create a situation in which partners and firm personnel instinctively seek out risks and evaluate their impact in making effective operational decisions. The inherent nature of risk management is that it is not geographically dependent or specific to any country or location. The principles for establishing this culture are universal and relevant to any geographic location. The sections in this module cover the components of establishing a risk management culture. This module examines ethical issues and their impact on your firm’s exposure to risk. It examines the process of dealing with a client, as well as how to best manage your risk in this area.
