Freshwater Fish Nutrition and Feed Formulation in Aquaculture
Freshwater fish aquaculture is a rapidly growing sector that plays a crucial role in global food security and economic development. Nutrition is a key determinant of growth performance, health, and sustainability in aquaculture systems. This study explores the nutritional requirements of various freshwater fish species, emphasizing the importance of balanced diets that meet their specific needs. It examines the role of essential nutrients, including proteins, lipids, vitamins, and minerals, in fish development and immune response. Additionally, the research highlights advancements in feed formulation technologies, including the use of alternative protein sources, additives, and sustainable practices. By addressing the challenges associated with feed production, such as cost, environmental impact, and nutrient bioavailability, this study aims to provide insights into optimizing feed formulations for enhanced growth, health, and sustainability in freshwater fish aquaculture.
