THE IMPORTANCE OF PEER FEEDBACK IN EVALUATING PHONOLOGICAL SKILLS IN HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
This article explores the impact of peer feedback, rooted in social constructivist principles, on improving phonological skills. It offers advantages such as more practice, immediate corrections, and increased phonological awareness, while promoting learner independence. Challenges, such as students' difficulty providing accurate feedback and hesitance to evaluate peers, can be addressed with strategies like structured training, pairing students of different proficiency levels, and using technology. By fostering a supportive environment, peer feedback complements traditional assessments and empowers students to take greater ownership of their learning.
