The Situational Development Test of Socioemotional Competencies (DCSE-J)
The Situational Development Test of Socioemotional Competencies (DCSE-J) assesses five socioemotional competencies—assertiveness, self-understanding, self-regulation, empathy, and regulation of others' emotions—as well as self-esteem, through a set of scenarios in which participants are asked to indicate how they would respond. It is a psychoeducational tool designed to help educators and adolescents evaluate and develop these competencies.
