Action plans for Urban ReLeaf pilots II
The second phase of the Urban ReLeaf pilots builds on prior citizen engagement initiatives to address key environmental challenges in six European cities: Cascais, Dundee, Mannheim, Riga, Utrecht, and Athens. This report outlines detailed action plans for 2025, emphasizing citizen-powered data collection on urban heat stress, air pollution, greenspace perceptions, and tree mapping. By leveraging technologies, such as digital tools and wearable sensors, and participatory approaches, the Urban ReLeaf pilot cities will enhance local policy integration and climate resilience. Strengthening collaboration between residents, municipalities, and researchers, Urban ReLeaf aims to embed citizen-generated data into urban governance by driving evidence-based decision-making and inclusive green transitions across pilot cities.
