Topologically Protected DC–DC Converters.pdf
This research paper explores the design and analysis of topologically protected DC–DC converters, integrating concepts from topological physics to enhance power conversion performance. Conventional power converters often suffer from noise susceptibility, component variations, and limited stability under transient conditions. By leveraging a topological lattice structure, such as the Su-Schrieffer-Heeger (SSH) model, the proposed converter achieves robust voltage regulation with improved noise immunity and reduced sensitivity to parameter variations. The study presents a comprehensive circuit design of the topologically protected converter and compares its performance against a conventional buck converter through simulations, focusing on transient response, output ripple, and frequency response. Additionally, Monte Carlo and parameter sweep analyses are conducted to assess the converter’s robustness to component tolerance variations. The results demonstrate that the topologically protected converter maintains stable operation and exhibits lower output ripple, reduced overshoot, and better noise attenuation than its conventional counterpart, confirming the efficacy of topological design principles in power electronics.
