MOBILE-ASSISTED LANGUAGE LEARNING (MALL): OPPORTUNITIES AND CHALLENGES IN UZBEK CLASSROOMS

This thesis explores the integration of Mobile-Assisted Language Learning (MALL) in Uzbek language classrooms, highlighting its potential benefits and the obstacles faced during implementation. With the increasing availability of smartphones and mobile applications, MALL provides learners with flexible, personalized, and interactive opportunities for language acquisition beyond the classroom. The study investigates how mobile tools such as educational apps, audio-visual resources, and online platforms enhance vocabulary learning, pronunciation, and communication skills. Additionally, it addresses the challenges Uzbek educators and students encounter, including limited digital literacy, inconsistent internet access, and the need for pedagogical adaptation. The findings aim to support language teachers in effectively using mobile technology to foster student engagement and language proficiency in modern classrooms.
