Language dynamics of Russian economic terminology system (based on electronic media of the late 20th – early 21st centuries)
The article addresses the origin and formation of Russian economic terminology. The reasons for the emergence of new meanings of words and neologisms associated not only with socio-economic development, but also with semantic potential, as well as with a new word-formation paradigm, and the stability of the focus on the lexical meaning, are considered on the material of the economic terms from publicistic texts. It has been observed that borrowings prevail in the economic terminology system, although in the 21st century they tend to decrease in number in the Russian language. A special attention has been paid to neological terms in the texts of electronic media of the early 21st century, such as Kommersant, Vedomosti, TVC, Seldon, News, Vesti, Finversia, Forklog, SoyaNews, etc. The methods of componential analysis, semantic analysis, statistical method, descriptive analysis, as well as contextual analysis have been applied.
